How to book flights to Dublin using AMEX points?

I have been following these questions and answers for 12 months and reading through the guides.

I have gone ahead and joined most of the FF programmes in readiness and I understand that I need to book award flights as close as possible to the date they are released.

We are looking to travel Business Class from Sydney to Dublin. in may/june 2019. I was thinking Cathay Pacific with Asia Miles but I am still confused as to what is the best option. A stopover would be great but not essential.

We have 400,000 points and are are a family of 4, kids will be 14 and 11. So I will also need a strategy to purchase top-up points as well.

What class are you planning to travel in? 4 premium cabin seats on a single flight can be hard to come by. Check out awardace.com for an estimate of how much it will costs in points for a particular route but different FF Programs.

We would like to fly Business class.
