How to best use Velocity points to fly business class to Spain?

Hi,

My partner and I are looking at booking our honeymoon to Europe using our velocity points to get business class.
Any recommendations on the best airline to go with for Business seats eg Singapore or Ethihad?

Any tips or trips for utilising points for flights?

You are going to be hit with quite high fuel surcharges on Etihad redemptions but Singapore Airlines’ business availability is quite rare. It’s a trade off between availability and fuel surcharges. Alternatively, you could redeem a flight on VA to Hong Kong and buy revenue tickets or even connect to Virgin Atlantic to London and then buy a LCC ticket to Spain.
