How much status would you earn on a mixed cabin itinerary?

Hi all,

I’m looking at domestic business class flights purely for status run purpose. I’m with Velocity. On some of the multi-leg routes, they are mixed cabin which I understand has an Economy class component. My question is: if I purchase a mixed cabin flight, do I earn the full SC (as advertised under Business) or will this be reduced (because of the Economy leg)?

You earn status credits per segment (that is per flight you take) so you will earn Business status credits for the business flights and economy status credits for your economy flights! For more complicated cases, you will go by booking class (i.e. the letters associated next to your class of travel, but I won’t go into detail here.)
