How does the current American Airlines point sale compare to previous offers?

What are your thoughts on the current AA points offer? To my mind, it doesn’t seem as generous as those previously offered. Am I right in my maths?

I don’t think there is a sale at the moment. It works out to be 2.49 cent per mile. Lowest one listed is 1.72 cent per mile.
