Do you still earn status credit on reward flight bookings?

Hi there - apologies for being ignorant here but can I check if one earns status credits for reward flight bookings (both Velocity or QFF)? I understand you will not be able to earn points but what about SC’s?

You can earn SCs on Qantas if you’re a Points Club Plus member.
I am unsure about the velocity program

For Velocity, the answer is a straight no.

For Qantas, the answer is no unless, as stated above, you’re a Points Club member, in which case you’ll earn a small number of status credits (but not as many as for non-reward-flight bookings).
