Do I need to book all my Qantas Oneworld RTW flights at the same time?

Hello everyone, first time poster and RTW booker here!
We are planning a 5 week Oneworld RTW Business Class rewards flights holiday for September 2025. I understand that flights are only released about a year before schedule date, so is it possible to book flights as they become available (keep coming back to add more each week or so) and add them to the one itinerary? And if it is possible, how does it work? Do you start a file number, or link the itinerary to your Frequent Flyer account?

When should I be booking Qantas OneWorld RTW flights?

Hi community, I have mapped out all my flights for an upcoming RTW trip in about a year’s time. Some flights - for example Qantas - are available to be booked now. Others, since they will occur in more than 353 days and/or are on partner airlines, aren’t available to be booked yet, or rewards seat aren’t available yet. I’d love to book the ones that are available to lock these in and not miss out. But then I end up booking individual flights rather than one itinerary and will exceed the RTW p…

You should book as many flights as you can on the website. Then ring up to add/change flights on the same booking reference.
