Can you redeem flights from Melbourne to Miami with Velocity points?

Hey All.

Got a ton of Velocity points and will be heading to Miami in Feb however checking the Virgin site there is no availability of any kind (paid or reward). Given their partnership with Delta figured this would be doable. Is there a trick to this?

Also if I was to book with Virgin using points with a partner airline like Delta or Sinapore do you still get status credits?

You wont get any status credits when using points to book.

You should call the Velocity Membership Contact Centre on 13 18 75 to arrange booking.

Hi,

You could fly VA to LAX and use Delta to fly to Atlanta before getting to Miami.

I am not sure whether this can be redeemed as one award or 2 awards. have a play on Virgin Australia website (click on Point & Pay).
