Hi there, I know in the past Velocity points haven’t been able to take me to South America, however was hoping with the United partnership this would become an option. I can see a ‘South America’ category shows up on Virgin booking page when selecting pay with points, however can’t see any flights available. Does anyway have any idea whether this is possible?
Should be possible and it is touted as a benefit with the new partnership (the expanded route network to SA that is). Virgin’s website isn’t very good at listing destinations (i.e. you can travel from Sydney to Singapore but not Sydney to Hong Kong) but if you can find the award space, then it is usually bookable over the phone.
