Can we earn status credits when travelling with an infant?

Hello all.

Great website. I am travelling soon Melbourne to Scotland. I was wondering do you amass status credits for infants?

I was thinking that if this is the case, it makes the family pooling through virgin attractive.

I just found out the answer from the T&C’S - no status credits or points until they are paying for a seat. I suppose that is fair enough.

Certainly no with Virgin.

But 2 years ago when my daughter was an infant, somehow I could get her QFF numbers onto a QF flight. I thought it would yield to nothing. She turned 3 not long ago & somehow she already amass 50 SCs with Qantas!
