Can Virgin Atlantic points be used with Virgin Velocity?

Can anyone confirm whether Virgin Atlantic points can be used to purchase flights or products with Virgin Velocity?

If not, does anyone know whether Virgin Atlantic have a gift shop for using Virgin Atlantic points. They appear to me to only have a shop for earning, but not for spending.

I used virgin Atlantic points to book a virgin Australia flight recently - CFS to SYD. It had to be done through the Virgin Atlantic call centre and couldn’t use points against taxes and fees like velocity do.

So if I wanted to purchase an item from the velocity store (e.g.: sleeping bag) I’d need to call the virgin Atlantic call center to do so?

Hi Dave,

I personally doubt you can use Atlantic points in a Velocity point ‘online mall’. Think of it as using Rupiahs in Woolworths.

I had a quick look and Atlantic points doesn’t seem to have an ‘online mall’ to redeem items or vouchers. They do have redemption/transfer partners such as hotels.
