Can I book a Round the World Trip using Qantas points but bid for a business flight for one of the flights?

Hi everyone,

I am looking to book around the world ticket next year for our honeymoon but only have enough points for economy. I was wondering if we could our trip and then get the opportunity to bid for business on one of the flights (Melb - Dallas) so we can have one flight with a business class experience on our honeymoon. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Yes this is possible. The cost to upgrade on the nonstop MEL-DFW flight is 119,900 points per person. You should find out 1-7 days before the flight if your bid is successful.
