I want to book a business class reward flight from Adelaide to London next November and I want to know when the Qatar flights are released. I know that qantas flights are released about 353 days ahead but when I do a dummy booking for next October only awards through Cathay are available. Emirates seem to be available only up until early September. Do each of the airlines release award seats at different times and if so when? Ideally would like to fly Qatar but don’t want to pass up an emirates or Cathay reward if no Qatar reward will be released at a later date.
Qatar Airways technically open their revenue seats for booking around 360 days in advance. Award seats-> I am not very sure about patterns of releasing.
Try searching the individual legs too. Adelaide to Doha, Doha to London.
Qantas opens their calendar for booking at 353 days out, but not for all partners. However I think Qatar is one of them.
For availability with Qatar, I personally prefer searching using the British Airways website or AwardNexus (paid tool) to search via the BA site as I think Qantas doesn’t necessarily highlight Qatar-operated flights well on Qantas.com. I might be wrong about that but BA searches definitely return solid results with Qatar if/when there is availability.
