Best ways to book award flights using Westpac Altitude points from Brisbane to Europe 2018?

Apologies if this has been asked before, I did try and find a thread on this topic but didn’t succeed.

I am struggling to find any combination of flights that will get our family of 2 adults and 2 kids to Europe , business class, around March next year. Ideally Amsterdam or Copenhagen and out of Brisbane but we are happy to sort our internal flights if needs be.
Malaysian who we have flown with before using points is impossible to get anything.
Asia Miles & Velocity are the same.
Singapore, everything is waitlist

We have over a million points and are happy to pay for 1 or 2 tickets cash which I am expecting to do.

I can see you can obviously use say Malaysian points to purchase other airlines, how do you go about this? This might be a better option but I don’t know how to do it.

Hi there,

I would suggest checking availabilities with Singapore Airlines (Krisflyer). They recently change their award chart-> they no longer charge surcharge but require more miles/points for redemptions.

Try searching for 2 passengers (it will be a great outcome if you find 2; more than 2 is rare but not impossible). Try searching for other EU airports too. Less stops is best with kids but availability might not be there.
