Are there any predictable patterns for how Air India and TAP Air Portugal release award seats?

I’m planning to book 2 economy tickets from Delhi to Lisbon using Star alliance partners, Air India + TAP using my Krisflyer points. Plan is to fly mid April, 24.

Unfortunately Air India has released only one seat for each day in March/April, for Europe sector, a bit strange.

I’m a bit confused whether to take one ticket by redeeming my points and other with cash or wait till they release more seats.

Can anyone please clarify if airlines release award tickets in a phased manner or this is the final release.

Every airline does it quite differently. In general though, they are progressively released as their revenue management software deems that they won’t be able to sell that seat for a higher price. Better to have one ticket on points + one cash than to book two with cash if it is a good value to you.
