Are there any better alternatives to buying Qantas points for an urgent top up?

I’ve already booked our trip to Canada in late July but couldn’t find any availability for the return leg until today and have realised we are short 75k Points! To buy them its nearly 2k. Does anyone know of any other way on obtaining a significant amount of points in a short amount of times?

Any family members that could transfer the points to you? That would certainly be the best way. Otherwise, that’d be a lot of Qantas wine purchases and you’d even be pushing it for a Credit Card sign up bonus.
