Are there any benefits of crediting flights to a new Krisflyer account if already Velocity Platinum?

Hi,

Currently Velocity platinum…just wondering if any benefit in opening a Krisflyer account for an occasional (2 per year maybe) flight to Europe? Or better just to keep consolidating to Velocity?

Unless you want to build on your Krisflyer status (Star Alliance), may be better to have all your points in 1 useful bucket.

If you can build a useful KF status, Star Alliance status is more useful than Velocity status overseas, AFAIK.
