Are giftcard purchases from Coles eligible for Velocity double status earn during December?

Hi Point hacks. Just saw velocity have a double status credit offer at coles this month. I’m platinum and my partner is 8 status away from gold. Was thinking of going down and buying $400.00 of coles gift cards. Do you know if gift card purchases are eligible for status earn? I can’t find anything on velocity about this. Thanks again

I’ve found exactly the same sentence on both the Flybuys and Velocity websites:

“Spend excludes tobacco and tobacco related products, charity donations and gift card purchases.”

So no, gift card purchases are not eligible.
