Anyone else notice Emirates award availabilities disappeared recently?

Hi
I’ve been closely monitoring every day for the last few weeks for a one way business award flight from Milan to Perth for 14 July 2019. There have been new July seats released each day but thoroughly looking again today I have noticed all Emirates award flights from not just Milan but the majority of European cities to Perth are ALL missing from late June-July. I know they were definitely there as a friend booked her flight home for 7 July 2019.

Qantas online chat was no help, but has anyone seen this before where flights that were previously available ALL cleared??

Could this be something Emirates have done?
Milan - Dubai appears available but nothing from Dubai to any of the Australian capitals.

Am wondering if I should grab a less than ideal Cathay Pacific Amstersdam - Perth that is currently available on 15 July or wait for Emirates to reveal again?

Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks.

Always a good idea to secure first and if something better comes up, you can always change for a small change fee.

Might just be school holidays?

I was looking at similar flights MXP/FCO - MEL on 14th July and even considered the routing via Perth. Watching every day, on the day of release and there was very little available around that date.

The best I could get was MXP-MAD-DXB-SYD-MEL (albeit for 3 of us). At least we’re on two overnights with EK  Booked last Wed (15th)

I did notice there was more availability when booking using multi-city rather than just one way (on the Qantas website) - I trust you’re using multi-city? There seemed to be availability via DXB-KUL but that does start to get messy.

I think I’d take the Cathay flights …

I have been keeping an eye on MEL-ZRH/MIL over recent months.  Cathay and Emirates have all but disappeared a year out but are quite good around 6 months out now.  As Warren said I would grab what you can and change later if something better comes up.
