Any way to save newly expired Qantas points?

Hello, I’ve just found out that my partner let his Qantas balance expire…about 15K (not a lot, but not nothing either). This has only just happened sometime in the last month. Does anyone have any tips or success stories on getting balances reinstated? For example, if we call and quickly put some points on, via a shopping portal or something like that?

Or am I out of luck, and this will be a lesson learned?

Unfortunately I think your chances of getting your partner’s points back are fairly slim. Qantas do give notice via email at least a month prior to the expiry warning you that you balance is about to disappear.

I think your best bet is to call Qantas and plead your case.
