Any tips on avoiding Lifemiles from expiring?

We had our cruise to Singapore cancelled due to COVID and subsequently were refunded lifemiles Singapore-Hong Kong and Hong Kong-Brisbane.
I caught COVID (Ruby Proncess passenger) and will not travel overseas again.
My Lifemiles points are soon to expire.
Is there anything I can do to save them disappearing “into the ether”?

I’m not sure how many points you have in your account but the only real way I can think of without going too far from Australia is flights across the Tasman. Air New Zealand flights are basically the closest thing we have to domestic flights that you can actually redeem Lifemiles for. I’m not sure if you are comfortable with that risk, I personally am, but I understand others are wary of the one case and its all over risk.

I am in the same situation but with a relatively small balance. I considered buying more points but its not worth it in my situation.
Check out the LifeMiles shopping and dining partners for other options.

Good luck

book a hotel using the travel tab on lifemiles…its uses either booking.com or rocketmiles…adds to you balance and the miles wont expire
