Any tips for increasing the success rate of getting Velocity Rewards seats?

Hi!

I travelled to from Brisbane to LA return last February in Virgin Premium using my Velocity points.

I have tried all of the below routes for every month from October 2019 - February 2020 and there are NO Premium rewards seats available at all. I’m also having trouble just trying to get return Business or Economy rewards seats for most of these destinations.

  • Honolulu
  • Fiji
  • Singapore

Does anyone have any tips on booking reward seats (preferably Premium)?
