I’ve been dilegently keeping an eye on Virgin’s business reward seats from LAX to MEL (or SYD/BNE) for the last couple of months and it’s been pretty consistant. However, October 2017 release appears to have dried up into nothing - unless I want to spend 30+ hours flying home via Singapore (which I don’t). Anyone have any idea on what’s going on?

I’m aware of the general principles of reward seats but it seems strange to me that things have dried up for October for no apparent reason. It’s not peak season and there appears to be no reason other than Virgin just not releasing. I was hoping someone might have an explanation that I was missing (eg: this time last year Virgin Aus were upgrading their business class so it made sense that availability was limited).
