What is the best program for an Australian to accrue on when flying China Southern?

Wondering if anyone had any advice for me on this. First and maybe last time flying CZ so probably not worth accruing on their own program.
I did some initial research and am thinking to perhaps accrue on Avios which can be used to book flights on QF but id prefer to work out a way to be able to convert what I earn to VA or QF programs. Any ideas?
NB 4 pax to Europe in I class.

Hi,

This website seem to suggest theese 4 airline program options to credit to.

https://wheretocredit.com/en/CZ/I

The more well known programs are American Airlines and British Airways. BA program shares a common point currency (Avios) with Qatar Airways. So that may be favourable?

It will be easier to earn Avios in Australia than AA miles.

Depending on whether the 4 passengers are family members, it maybe that AA or BA’s program would have some form of family pooling that might sway you one way or another.

Hopefully this was somewhat helpful.

Hi w.hiew, thankyou for your input, Ive not seen that site before but its a good resource.

We are a family so yep definitely need pooling.

Just for the forums interest sake im circling an idea to get these over to something more useful for me.

Ill need to validate further but it appears the below may be possible:

Accrue Avios on BA Club
Create a household account to pool points
Accrual is 22,392 miles x 4 pax x 100% (accrual rate in I class)
= 89,568 Avios points
Convert BA Club to QR Privilege Club at 1:1 rate
Convert QR to All Accor at approx 3.5:1
= 25,590 All Accor Rewards points
Convert All Accor to Velocity at 1:1
= 25,590 Velocity

Not a massive haul but may be worth the administration involved if the alternative is losing them altogether…
