Despite all the hype back in March/April about Fiji Airways becoming a OneWorld member, well, that’s not quite correct. While you can book and fly Fiji Airways on a Qantas Classics Reward ticket, you cannot include that flight in a RTW Classics Reward ticket. So not a real OneWorld member, really.

You are correct from the look of things. It does seem like they hyped the full membership status - which is true - however there appears to be technical issues related to online classic reward bookings that wont be likely resolved until later this year (2025)…

From reading the Qantas page it would appear that this is a technical integration problem that affects all classic reward bookings and is not solely limited to RTW classic reward flights. I may be reading it incorrectly…
Either way though, it is frustrating to see new products launched and then subsequently discover all is not as it first appeared. I wish companies didn’t do this sort of thing.
Hopefully the Qantas code boffins finish wiring things up sooner rather than later.
